A Ferret's Diet
Ferrets are carnivors and
need a special diet with more than 34% row proteins. It's also important
- especially during shedding season - to give them some malt and
vitamine paste. We recommend to feed these pets special ferret food. But
sometimes it's difficult to get (as here in Switzerland) so use as a
substitute high quality cat food as Eukanuba, Iams, Science Plan, Royal
Canin etc. together with fresh meet and some goodies as vegetables,
fruits - but remember that the vegetarian part shouldn't exceed 20% for
ferrets as carnivors feed to 80% on meet products. Some
products we give our little ones from time to time...
